What Our Warranty Covers
Our warranty applies to all knives purchased directly from BalisongButterfly.com.
We cover the following:
✔ Manufacturing Defects
If your knife arrives with any defect caused during production — such as misaligned handles, loose pivots, faulty locks, or structural issues — we will repair or replace the knife at no cost to you.
✔ Workmanship Issues
This includes problems with assembly, hardware installation, blade seating, or finishing that affect the knife’s intended function.
✔ Material Defects
If any part of the knife (blade steel, handle material, hardware, etc.) is defective due to the material itself, we will take care of it.
What Our Warranty Does NOT Cover
Some issues are not considered defects and are not covered under warranty:
✘ Damage Caused by Misuse
Examples include throwing your knife, using it for prying, impact damage, forced abuse, or any use outside normal flipping and cutting purposes.
✘ Wear and Tear
Normal signs of use such as scratches, fading, minor marks, or surface wear are not covered.
✘ Improper Maintenance
Rust, corrosion, or damage caused by lack of cleaning, lubrication, or proper storage is not included.
✘ Unauthorized Modifications
Disassembly, aftermarket parts, custom modifications, or altering the knife in any way voids the warranty.
✘ Engraved or Customized Knives
Engraved knives are non-returnable unless they arrive damaged or defective from the factory.

Balisong knives rely heavily on smooth pivots and precise hardware. If your knife develops loose screws, tuning issues, or pivot problems over time, we will help guide you on tightening, maintenance, or replacement hardware when needed.
How to Submit a Warranty Claim
If you believe your knife qualifies for warranty service, please follow these steps:

Shipping Information
- Customers are responsible for shipping the knife back to us for inspection.
- If the warranty claim is approved, we will cover the cost of shipping the repaired or replacement knife back to you.
