Out of stock The knife is handcrafted for you, which takes 2 to 3 weeks.

Engraving Engraving adds 1 to 3 business days to production time.

Quality inspection Before shipping, every knife is tested for function, alignment, pivot action and blade condition.

USA delivery 4 to 8 business days.

International delivery 8 to 14 business days, and customs times vary.

Tracking Every order ships with tracking. Carrier updates can take 24 to 48 hours to appear.

Pre-orders and backorders The knife is reserved for you, estimated ship dates are given in the product description, and pre-orders may ship separately from other items.

Handmade in Austin and shipped worldwide

Every knife is handmade in our Austin, Texas workshop and shipped directly to you. If we are allowed to send a knife to your country, we send it. There is no short approved list to check against first, and no separate international store to order from.

Why made to order takes 2 to 3 weeks

When a knife is listed out of stock, the next one does not come off a shelf. It is handcrafted by Filipino artisans and metalworkers, many from families with generations of experience, and that work takes 2 to 3 weeks before it is ready to leave.

It then goes through the same four checks as everything else we ship: detailed hand inspection, smoothness and pivot testing, blade alignment checks, and durability and finish quality control. If a knife doesn't meet our standards, it never reaches our customers.

What sits with you

Local legality We ship worldwide, but international customers should make sure butterfly knives are legal in their country before ordering.

Address accuracy We are not responsible for delays or lost packages caused by an incorrect or incomplete address. If it needs changing, contact us immediately at sales@balisongbutterfly.com.

Delivered packages Once a package is marked Delivered by the carrier it is considered delivered and is no longer the responsibility of Balisong Butterfly.

Delayed or missing Contact the carrier with your tracking number, check with neighbours, security offices and local post offices, then reach out to us for guidance. Replacements for lost or stolen packages are not guaranteed.

Damage in transit Photograph the damage and email us within 48 hours with your order number and a description. We will replace or repair depending on the situation.
