What separates Prime from the standard line

Three things, and they are all visible in the hand.

Handle materials you cannot get elsewhere. Fossilised mammoth tooth — genuine prehistoric material, stabilised and cut into panels, with a mottled brown-and-cream lamination that is tens of thousands of years old and physically cannot be reproduced. Mother of pearl, cut and inlaid by hand, that shifts colour as the knife moves through light. Engraved wenge, polished black horn, stag, micarta and rosewood.

Engraved bolsters. Hand-cut scrollwork in steel, brass, copper or matching Damascus — not stamped, not cast. On the Damascus pieces the bolster carries the same forged pattern as the blade, so the figure runs continuously from tip to butt.

Blade profiles built for display. Snake blades cut with a serpentine wave along the length, eagle profiles with an aggressive swept curve, symmetrical double-edge grinds, tanto and drop point.

Steel options

Prime runs on D2 tool steel for edge retention and hand-forged Damascus for pattern. Both are carbon-bearing steels, so both reward a wipe and a drop of oil.

Who buys Prime

Collectors, and people buying a knife that has to look like it cost what it cost. At the $999 end you are buying material rarity as much as craftsmanship — there is only so much mammoth tooth in the world.
