Blade & Steel

The blade is hand-forged Damascus — alternating layers of high and low carbon steel folded, forge-welded and drawn out, then acid-etched to bring up the pattern. Because the pattern comes from the forging itself rather than a print, no two blades are identical. The piece you receive will not match the photograph line for line, and that is the point.

This is a double-edge blade, ground on both sides. It is the most symmetrical profile in the catalogue and it flips beautifully, but it demands respect — both edges are live, and there is no safe spine to catch.

Handle, Bolsters & Balance

The handle is set with stag horn — the premium natural handle material, and the one collectors pay for. Its ridged, irregular surface locks into the hand and its colouring runs from bone-white to deep amber. Because it is cut from natural antler, the piece you receive is unrepeatable. Care & Tuning

Keep a light film of mineral oil on the blade, wipe it dry after every session, and never store a carbon blade in a leather sheath long-term — leather holds moisture. If the handles develop play, seat the knife closed and tighten the pivot screws a quarter turn at a time until the play disappears without the action binding. Zen pins and tang pins can be dressed with a fine file if the handles start to strike the blade — do this a few strokes at a time.
