Return and exchange policy

Read this before you place the order, not after.

At Balisong Butterfly, we want every customer to feel confident and satisfied with their purchase. Because our knives are specialty items, we handle returns and exchanges carefully to ensure fairness, quality control, and customer safety. Please read the policy below before placing your order.

Eligibility for returns

We accept returns within 14 days of delivery, provided the knife is unused and in its original condition. To qualify for a return:

The knife must be unused and in its original condition

All packaging and accessories must be included

We do not accept returns for:

Change of mind

Ordering the wrong item

Used, damaged, or altered knives

Exchanges

Exchanges are available only if the product you receive is defective or incorrect. If eligible, we will replace the item as soon as the defective product is returned and inspected.

Engraved or customized knives are not eligible for exchanges unless the error was on our part.

Non-returnable items

To ensure safety and product integrity, the following cannot be returned:

Engraved knives or custom-logo orders

Used knives

Knives with signs of wear, damage, or improper handling

Final sale or clearance items

Engraved knives are permanently customized and cannot be resold, which is why all engraving orders are final.

If your order arrives damaged

If your knife arrives damaged or defective:

Take clear photos or a short video of the issue

Email us within 14 days at sales@balisongbutterfly.com

Include your order number and a brief explanation

Our support team will review the issue and arrange a replacement if approved

We will repair or replace the product depending on the situation.

Costs, addresses and refunds

Return shipping Customers are responsible for shipping the item back to us for inspection.
Replacement shipping For standard 14-day returns the customer is responsible for return shipping. If your item arrived defective or incorrect, we cover the cost of shipping the replacement back to you.
Original shipping fees Original shipping fees are non-refundable.
Incorrect address or failed delivery Returns caused by an incorrect shipping address or failed delivery attempts are not eligible for refunds or exchanges. Please double-check your address at checkout.
Approved refunds A refund will be issued to the original payment method after inspection. Please allow 3 to 7 business days for processing.
No refund is available for Engraved and custom knives, used knives, disliked colour variations or handle patterns, and delayed or lost shipments caused by the carrier.
