Hand-forged in the Batangas tradition
The balisong was born in Batangas, Philippines. Every knife in this catalogue is made by Filipino artisans and metalworkers, many from families with generations of experience, now working in the United States. Blades are ground from 440C stainless, D2 tool steel, VG10, high carbon and Damascus, and fitted to handles of kamagong ebony, carabao horn, Philippine deer horn and bone.

Every BF-129 is an authentic Filipino balisong, hand-built the way Batangas makers have crafted butterfly knives for generations. The blade is genuinely forged Damascus steel — the layered pattern runs through the blade itself, not printed on the surface like mass-market copies. The handles carry natural stag horn with deep, grippy texture. At 24cm overall and 200g, it balances beautifully in the hand – built to the classic Filipino pattern.
No two handles ever match exactly — that is the mark of a hand-built balisong. Add custom engraving to make it personal, and read the history of the balisong to see where this craft began.

Hands down the meanest-looking knife in my collection. The D2 steel is a beast—I’ve been abusing this thing for a month and it’s still razor sharp. The carabao horn has this deep, organic swirl that photos just can’t capture. Zero handle play, solid lock-up. Love it.
