Hand-forged in the Batangas tradition
The balisong was born in Batangas, Philippines. Every knife in this catalogue is made by Filipino artisans and metalworkers, many from families with generations of experience, now working in the United States. Blades are ground from 440C stainless, D2 tool steel, VG10, high carbon and Damascus, and fitted to handles of kamagong ebony, carabao horn, Philippine deer horn and bone.

Detailed hand inspection, smoothness and pivot testing, blade alignment checks, and durability and finish quality control. If a knife doesn't meet our standards, it never reaches our customers.

A sheath with every knife
Every knife includes a fitted leather sheath. Both live blades and trainers are offered, and every order ships worldwide with tracking.
A beetle is a light body under an armoured shell, and the BF-14 works the same way. Brass bolsters take the impact and the wear while the knife underneath stays a nimble 175g — protection where it is needed, nothing added where it is not.

Blade steel here is 440C: a 400-series stainless holding 0.95–1.20% carbon, 16.00–18.00% chromium, 0.75% molybdenum, 1.0% manganese and 1.0% silicon — the highest carbon content in the 400 family. It started life as a bearing steel, quenches in oil to reach maximum hardness, and is normally treated to 58–60 HRC.
Kamagong inlays are set into the brass by hand, so grain and figure differ from knife to knife. This one belongs to the authentic Filipino balisong line built in Batangas, and it can be personalised with free engraving.
