Hand-forged in the Batangas tradition
The balisong was born in Batangas, Philippines. Every knife in this catalogue is made by Filipino artisans and metalworkers, many from families with generations of experience, now working in the United States. Blades are ground from 440C stainless, D2 tool steel, VG10, high carbon and Damascus, and fitted to handles of kamagong ebony, carabao horn, Philippine deer horn and bone.
Checked four times
Detailed hand inspection, smoothness and pivot testing, blade alignment checks, and durability and finish quality control. If a knife doesn't meet our standards, it never reaches our customers.

An Argentine ant is the smallest worker in the colony and still turns up everywhere. That is the BF-02 in a sentence: at 22cm overall it is one of the shortest frames we build, and the one most likely to end up going everywhere with you.

The blade is 440C, the highest-carbon grade in the 400 stainless series — roughly 0.95–1.20% carbon alongside 16.00–18.00% chromium, 0.75% molybdenum, 1.0% manganese and 1.0% silicon. Knifemakers borrowed it from bearing manufacture; oil quenching brings it to maximum hardness, and normal heat treatment settles it at 58–60 HRC.
Carabao horn inlays sit in stainless steel handles, so no two pairs carry the same grain. Every piece is cut, fitted and finished by hand in the Batangas tradition — browse the rest of the authentic Filipino balisong collection, or add engraving from $19 before it ships.
