Hand-forged in the Batangas tradition
The balisong was born in Batangas, Philippines. Every knife in this catalogue is made by Filipino artisans and metalworkers, many from families with generations of experience, now working in the United States. Blades are ground from 440C stainless, D2 tool steel, VG10, high carbon and Damascus, and fitted to handles of kamagong ebony, carabao horn, Philippine deer horn and bone.
Checked four times
Detailed hand inspection, smoothness and pivot testing, blade alignment checks, and durability and finish quality control. If a knife doesn't meet our standards, it never reaches our customers.

Monkeys are all dexterity, and this build is set up for it. Stainless liners with kamagong scales keep a 29cm frame down to 200g, which is what makes the long transfers and aerials manageable on a knife this size.

D2 is a tool steel, hardened here to 58–60 HRC. It takes a razor edge for precise cutting, holds that edge unusually well, and stays tough while doing it — a compact, lightweight knife that is ready for anything: small, but powerful.
At 29cm overall with a 14cm blade this is one of the longer knives in the line, but the material choice keeps it quick rather than heavy. More D2 steel balisongs, or add engraving from $19 before it ships.
